Salmon fishing in Suldalslagen River 

Mo Laksegard can provide 3 different fishing zones along
the Suldalslaagen River – the largest river in Western Norway.
The season for river trout (Brown Trout) fishing commences
on May 1
st, and the season for salmon fishing commences
on July 20th and lasts until September 30th.



Suldalslågen River is renowned for its large salmon.
It is not unusual to land a salmon that weighs 10 kgs.
Every year, a salmon weighing more than 20 kgs is landed.

The average weight for sea trout ranges from 1.0 to 1.4 kgs.
Trout weighing between 3 to 5 kgs are not uncommon.


   

The fishing zones we can offer:

Mo/Litlehaga/Berge

This beat is in walking distance from Mo Laksegard and runs
for 650 m on both sides of the river (total 1,3 km). 
4 good fishing holes, as well as good fly fishing.

8 km from the mouth of the river.
One of the best fly fishing beats on the river.
1.6 km long, maximum of 6 rods.
Several good fishing holes.

Steine/Underbakke

Located 20 km from Mo Laksegard going up the valley.
The zone is good for both flie and spinner,
with shallow and deep pools. 2500 meters long zone
